I'm a conscript to CMAK and CMBB (just bought 'em), and shortly CMBN.

Interested in either PBEM (about a turn a day) or live 7PM+ Pacific time (Vancouver).

That's atuline@gmail.com if interested.

Basic stuff, small battles, etc.

I just uploaded a new version of Neubruck Noon today. It streamlines reinforcements and adjusts some reinforcment locations. Those changes are designed to increase user friendliness in deployment of reinforcements. Also some changes in reinforcement composition. One substitution of a heavier model of tank. This should be the final version until all playtesting is complete.

I just posted Neubruck Noon. It is a second scenario based on the Neubruck, Belguim Map. The primary difference between Neubruck Dawn and Noon is movement orientation is East-West rather than North-South. IMO, the new orientation takes advantage of the terrain to produce a more wide open meeting engagement with a greater variety of tactical choices. The greater variety of tactical choices should produce good replay value.

I have also trimmed down starting forces and reinforcements to make the handling of troops more user friendly.

Hope everyone enjoys!

The CMBB scenario Breakout Minsk 41 has been rebalanced after two PBEM test games. The Germans received some beefing up of forces. This should be the final version. I want to to thank PanzerDan for all his help with playtesting. I had a lot of fun playtesting Minsk and hope everyone enjoys!

I apologize if the question I have has been asked too many times. I have very little experience with CMBB or CMAK. Is there a decent guide to help a newbie learn the flow of the game and a little bit about tactics so that even playing against the AI does not become a futile experience of frustration? Any assistance would be appreciated and I am NOWHERE near ready to play a human player.

After several weeks, I have finally finished a new CMAK scenario called Neubruck Dawn. I have designed quite a few scenarios which are available here and at the Blitz. So hopefully this will be a good PBEM scenario.

I personally like the map which is primarily based on a satellite image of the Neubruck area just east of St. Vith. There are quite a number of terrain tactical choices which should make the scenario good for replay. I also think the Aug 44 force mix is interesting for both the English and Germans.

I am hoping to find some testers interested in trying the scenario and providing feedback. If interested, drop me an email and we can set up a playtest. I think the scenario is fairly closely balanced now but a few tests will show if any finetuning is necessary.

Here is some scenario backgound:
The scenario introduction:

Title: Neubruck Dawn
Type: Meeting Engagement
Date: August 1944
Location: Near Saint Vith, Belgium
Region: Western Europe
Weather: Dry and warm
Terrain: Valley surrounded by hill and plateaus
Wind: NW breeze
Turns: 35 turns fixed

Author: Jagger

Background: This is a hypothetical meeting engagement between a mobile mech German force and a mobile mech English force. The map is primarily based on a satellite photo of the Neubruck region just east of Saint Vith. The scenario is set in August 1944. Light forces initially probe with heavier reinforcements. Should be a wild and wooly fight.

Hypothetical Meeting Engagement: Germans: 5435 pts English: 5443 pts Victory Locations: 3900 points.

The scenario is specifically designed for PBEM play. Players will have a variety of tactical choices to maximize PBEM enjoyment. The scenario will not work with play against the AI due to the number and placement of Victory locations.

Study the terrain carefully. As in so many PBEM scenarios, using terrain properly leads to victory. Note there are thirteen 300 point victory locations which is almost equal to the total force points of either side. Which means holding and taking terrain victory locations can be worth the cost.

Here is a link to an image of the map:

Hi all. I designed the scenario Breakout Minsk, 41 a few years back. It is a scenario depicting an encircled mixed force of early war Russians launching a breakout against a high quality German blocking force. The scenario is located here with file and feedback:

http://www.theblitz.org/scenarios/Combat-Mission/Breakout-Minsk-41/action=scenario_details&sid=684&ladder=1

In terms of balance, I noticed 6 German victories and 1 draw even though I felt the game had a slight Russian bias. I would like to try the game again after adding some new Victory locations. The force balances seem good.

I am a little rusty in playing CMBB but have been doing some AI games to regain my feel for the game. Hopefully I can test with someone pretty comfortable with CMBB and early war German forces. I can typically do one to two turns a day in the evening. Some days, I can set aside a couple hours to knock out several turns quickly.

If anyone is interested in trying the scenario as the Germans, please contact me at klltalley@msn.com. Thanks!

BTW, here is a photo of the map. It is interesting map, IMO.

P.S. Don't be warded off by the negative rating I have received from a former opponent here. I can assure you I have never abandoned a match for any reason in the 6 years I have enjoyed this game, nor will I ever. Near as I can tell, this negative rating was assigned to me by accident, possibly by the player confusing my name with that of another opponent. I am working on getting this mixup resolved.

I live in the eastern part of the U.S. and looking for a couple PBEM/TCP (TCP/IP only on weekends) opponents for BB/AK.

I prefer 500-700 Combined Arms/Infantry QBs or upto Reinforced Company scenarios, ME to Attack/Defense engagements.
I only play AXIS in BB, but either Axis or Allies ( U.S. ) in AK.

Please email me with title 'Combat Mission' to:

I'm looking for CMBB CMAK tcp/ip games. Just send me a message with my profile to let me know. Any type of game is all right, quick battles preferred.

I am ready to get my feet wet once again.
I am looking for either a CMBB, CMAK or CM ETO small battle via PBEM. Either side is okay with me.
If you want to start war with me, feel free to send me a setup.
